Appleseed for iPhone

Check in on a branch and continue a bot conversation from your phone.

Appleseed is Newton’s iPhone companion. Its current navigation follows a short path: branches → teammates → conversations. The Mac remains the place where your bots and work run.

Connect your phone

  1. On the Mac, open Settings → Phone access → Connect phone.
  2. Open the invitation in Appleseed using its QR code or link. Confirm the destination before pairing.
  3. Keep the Mac awake and online. Choose a branch, choose a teammate, then open the conversation.

What you can do

Read and send bot messages, work with conversation drafts and attachments, and preview supported files referenced in a conversation. The branch home also offers Inbox for bot messages and replies. Manage pairing and connection status from the phone’s connection controls.

Branch creation and configuration stay on the Mac. Appleseed does not reproduce the desktop Treehouse, standalone Files browser, Knowledge graph, Connections, Skills, Calendar, Greenhouse, or routine-management screens. A provider interaction that needs its terminal takes you back to Newton on the Mac.

When a reply does not arrive

Check the phone connection, then the Mac’s availability and the bot’s provider state. A phone connection cannot make work run while the host Mac is asleep or offline. Sending a message and receiving a completed result are separate events.

Phone access also depends on the access granted to your Newton account. See Access & your account.
