Access & your account

Understand the difference between Newton access and the AI services your bots use.

Your Newton account manages access to Newton. Your provider accounts supply the models your bots use. Signing in to one does not sign you in to the other, and a Newton plan does not include Claude, Codex, Gemini, or another provider’s usage.

Get access

Start at the website’s Request access section and follow the current invitation process. If you already have an account, sign in to your account to see the access and downloads available to you. An account alone is not a guarantee that a download has been granted.

Check the Mac’s account

In Newton, open Settings. The account and Mac activation sections show your account state and available actions. Manage account opens the website for account and license management.

Use the access shown for your account and the current pricing page when comparing plans. This guide intentionally keeps changing prices and allowances in those places rather than repeating a second table that can become stale.

Connect your providers

Install and authenticate the providers you want to use on the Mac, then choose one when creating a bot. Settings shows provider availability and supported usage information. Usage reported there may include activity outside Newton and outside the selected branch.

An account or provider sign-in problem is different from a stalled task. Check which service needs attention before restarting work. Your branch folders and the account website are separate parts of the system.
